Yup, Chinese Tallow. Considered invasive. Awesome fall color.

They are hard to kill. They will keep coming back from the roots.

I had a big one in my front yard. The leaves are pretty for a few weeks in the Fall but I had it cut down. They often become a problem when they get big - the limbs start to grow really asymmetrically and the tree became flat ugly. The big roots spread right at the surface and make it hard to mow under it. I had it taken down over a year ago and sprouts are still coming up from the roots all over the place

I got tons of them in my yard. Plan is to plant pecans and oaks and then cut them down one by one.

They should look good over the next few weeks though.

Get your hands on some Garlon cut them while they are small and paint the stumps.

Yep, down right beautiful when the leaves change colors in the fall. When I was a kid, me and my buds would have berry wars. They were also fun to hit with a plastic baseball bat.
