    1st handmade knife sheath

After looking around every western store with no luck of finding a sheath for my folder I decided to make one myself. I.have never done any leather work prior to today

Very nice basket weave, I grew up doing that. Now all she needs is a little oil stain to help weather proof and keep from getting dirty.

Cool man! I'm working on knife sheaths as well. Leather work is very calming and difficult at the same time.

Consider making a cross draw sheath. I bought one for my Buck 110 and it's comfortable for a large knife. Google images has tons of ideas.

OP, do you use an awl or do you have the hole punching set? I bought a set off of Tandy that made life a lot easier. There is a two-pronged punch to take care of curves and such and a 5-prong for straight line work along with a single prong for detail stuff. Comes in two different spacings. Well worth the $$$
