Or it could be units returning from overseas. I used to pick up military freight at the Dallas railheads and haul it to Red River Army Depot in Hooks every day of the week. Ships bring it in, train hauls it to the railhead nearest the final destination, trucks finish the trip.

The military uses trains to transport all their equipment and material. To and from bases as well as to and from plants for service and upgrade.

Where they new or getting serviced or maybe ready to ship to a foreign country???

We'll never know.
