    Galveston, what to do there

Next weekend the gf and I will be spending the weekend there. The only time I go there is to fish so idk what all there is to do. We are going there to celebrate our one year anniversary. I'm looking for places to eat and something to do before we go pier fishing. Any advise would be helpful.

My mother just got back from the Strand last weekend and said it was depressing. I have to agree with pier 51 thought, awesome place!

If you've never been the Moody Gardens is worth going to, they have several exhibits

The Seaport Museum is really interesting as is the Lone Star Flight Museum.

We took tours of a couple old houses. I can't remember which ones but they were pretty cool.

Take your fishing gear. The surf can be hot this time of year.

Oh just saw the pier fishing..

The Cajun Greek is defiantly worth trying. 61st and Ave R. It's probably late for crawfish, but they have some awesome seafood. It's casual and reasonably priced.
