    Chronograph question ????

I got several gift cards from Cabela's for Christmas and I have decided to by a chronograph. They have several models to choose from that are in my price range. They range from$89-$109.

    These include:

    ProChrono Digital Chronograph

    Shooting Beta Chronograph

    ProChrono Digital PAL Chronograph

    Shooting Chrony Beta Master

    Shooting F-1 Chronograph

My question is do any of our great TBH's own one of these or have used one of these that they would recommend. I am ignorant and don't know much about them. I am wanting to be able to shoot my bows, airguns, rifles, and pistols through it. Please advise....

    Thanks a Bunch!!!!

I have the ProChrono Digital Chronograph, works great. The two proshops I have frequented have used them also.

I got this one about a month ago and have been very pleased with it. It's very accurate compared with the one at the bow shop, and it's a lot more consistent than the chrono they have that screws on the bow. I never get more than a 2 fps variance between shots and it gives you an average of anything over two shots.

That's the one I'm leaning toward. Has excellent reviews.

Looking at the dang specs, you can't use it in Texas in the spring/summer/fall... Only good to 100 deg.!!!

Can I come shoot through it when you get one?

Any of the Chrony products will be tough, accurate, and inexpensive. I have a Gamma Master with the remote digital readout and printer that I've used for over 5 years with no problems whatsoever. I think they even make one specifically for the lower projectile speeds of arrows. I spent about $180 for mine (used it to check a ton of rifle handloads), but it's kinda the upper end of their pricing structure and most are available mail order (Cabela's, Midway, Brownell's) for $80-$120. It folds up in a nice, neat package that's smaller than the tripod I mount it on.
