I doubt many of any do. This is a release for target shooting. Even the best archers in the world switch to thumb release when hunting.

This is as close as I think you would get for hunting. I have shot this for years , never a issue for hunting. Mine is blue though random web pic there

I do. I switched due to target panic and will never go back. I would suggest to use one with a safety while hunting. I shoot a tru ball sweet spot 2 and it has made practicing and shooting in general enjoyable again.

Why would you want to out of curiosity? I would rather have control of the shot timing in a hunting situation.

I shoot a hinge release all year with the exception of when I'm in the stand. I still activate my thumb release using the exact same back tension method as I do with my hinge release.

                      Back Tension

I shot pretty good for several years and about 2 years ago I starting getting target panic. Not real severe but at least one of every 8 arrows was gonna be a flyer. Ever time I shot I felt like I needed to get rid of the arrow. Yesterday I picked up a Scott Longhorn Hunter back tension at East Texas Hardware in Kilgore. After practicing with it using a practice aid I took it home to try it out. From the first draw my pin seemed to find its mark and just stay there. My first 4 groups where tighter then any one group I have shot in 2 years. The timing of release is very tunable. I will probably never shoot anything but a back tension again for hunting or target. The results for me were amazing!

I do. At the moment I shoot at Truball HT Tension 4 finger. Same one that I shoot year round in tourneys. It is the release that I am most comfortable with.

I killed the bear in my avatar with a hinge release as well.
