I'm not sure he's going to make it. When in doubt let it walk. I understand the argument of getting rid of extra deer because of the feed bill- pasture or sack feed. The other side is the reproductive efficacy of younger deer (through competition or ability)...I don't believe culling young really hurts the genetics because of this- wouldn't hurt to let him pass and not violate antler restrictions.
