    Need electrical help/advice

So, I'm needing to get power run to my camper at the lease. It requires 30 amp 120v and is about 150 feet from the breaker box. So I know I need a 30 amp breaker, an appropriate exterior outlet, and some wire at the minimum. What size wire is required? I'm thinking either 8-2 or 6-2 direct bury, but I've seen everything from #3 to #10 suggested online.

Would I benefit in any way from running it out there as a 240v circuit to a subpanel and then split it into the 120v circuit? What size wire would be required for that? What amp breaker would be required?

    Thanks in advance.

    # 8 will be fine, sub panel not needed unless you are wanting to plug something else in

X2. 8/2 will be right due to voltage drop at 150'

Okay, so 8/2 with ground it is...not where to find that rare beast. Home depot doesn't list ANY #8 wire, skips from 10 to 6.....and the price goes up right there with it!

It's called 8-2 UF with a ground. Any electrical supply should be able to get it for you.

Yeah, several, and that's probably where I'll have to go. Lowes has the 8-2 wire, but it's $2.12/foot, HD has #6, 3 conductor direct bury cable for about that price....except it was only available in a 125 ft roll.....Not quite enough!
