    Rifle scopes - Swift Optics

I have been researching rifle scopes a lot the last few days and have pretty much talked myself into a Burriss Fullifield 2. But I have also seen several other brands that I have never heard of before that peak my interest a bit. Namely Swift Optics mostly because they are less expensive. I can't really find many reviews of them (I found one excellent review), but Swift Optics makes microscopes and there were some good reviews of those, so I'm guessing their rifle scopes would be good as well.

Does anyone know anything about them? Any feedback is appreciated. And please don't come in with Swarovski or Zeiss or something else. I want to know specifically about Swifts.

My last two scopes have been Burris, one a Fullfield. They will be my scope of choice from now on, I am very pleased and they are every bit as clear as my Leupolds, but seem to have tighter feeling adjustments. They feel as though they are build very well.

I do have a swift 4-12 x 50 and is not half the scope that the Burris is. I have it on a 10-22 and it's not very clear but it is fine for a cheap scope about the quality of the BSA scopes.

Excellent. This is exactly the feedback I was hoping for. I have a Leupold VX-2 on my 270, but don't want to drop that kind of coin for the next one if possible. I think the Burriss is a good alternative. It's the clear leader in the clubhouse so far.

      Anyone else?

I have had Burris, Swift and my new favorite for the past few has been the Simmons Atec 2.8x10 if you watch midway and some other places you can get them for 150.00 or less. I buy the ones that are refurbs for less and send them back and get new scopes back most of the time. Buy them at gun shows and save even more. my .02

              Swift Optics-----don't waste your money.
I bought 2 different ones and neither would hold zero and both had bad parallex. No good out past 100yds IMO.
Mine ended up on a trading table at the gun show.

Burris makes a very good quality peice of glass IMO
I have several including a 6.5x20 on my Savage Varmiter 22-250
P-DOG gun. This gun shoots in the .2's all day long and it takes a quality scope to do that.
I also have a Bushnell that seems to be a good peice but the rest of my glass is by Leupold. You can't go wrong with Leupold VX models and they don't break the bank like Swarovski/Khales and some others

I purchased a Swift 6-18X50mm several years ago; I originally mounted it on a 7mm Weatherby. It did not last long before the reticle went out of focus.

I contacted their customer support and they took it back for repair. They called me, which was amazing, and told me they did not have a 6-18x50mm in stock but I could select any other scope and they would send it to me at no cost. Naturally I picked a higher magnification, the 6-24x50mm, which they sent that week. It is now mounted on a 22-250 and seems to work well. Total time to make it right was less than 30 days.

I would not buy another one to mount on a high powered rifle but I have no complaints about the way I was treated and their service.

                I also have a BSA 6-24x50mm on a target 22.

My other rifles all have Leupolds and Bushnell 4200 Elites. Very happy with all their products.

This scope is going to be mounted on either a 22-250 or a 204 Ruger varmint/coyote gun (I can't decide). So I'm not super concerned with it getting thumped a lot like it would with a 7mm or something like that. But it will get shot more than one of those, so who knows.

From the sound of it, I think I'm sticking with my original thought to go with the Burris Fullfield 2. I can get a new 3-9x40 for right around $200 which isn't much more than the Swift. That's worth the little bit of extra money to not have to deal with warranty work or swapping it out later. The issue I'll have now is trying to keep myself from bumping up to the 4.5-14x42. That will cost another $100. :-)

I have the Fulfield 2 in the 6-20x50 model and like it. It is hard to beat the Leupold VX for clarity though and if I had it to do over again I would buy the Leupold. Nothing wrong with the Burris but the Leupold would be my preference.

I have been buying Buriss for the past two or three rifles lately as well. Great scope!

I have used this site to get some ideas on different scopes and binos. But you will need to filter the search otherwise all you hear is Zeiss, Swaro or Kahles.

Just a comment on the magnification. We shot this past weekend and it was very difficult to shoot the 6x-24x at 200 yard and try to stack your shots, which you can see clearly. Then jump to the 3x-9x and your reticle covers the whole bull. You get used the the higher mag quickly.

                        Good luck,

If you are open minded and want to try something new and cutting edge with lifetime warranty at one heck of a price and be one of the first in Texas to do so check out the new Vortex optics line of rifle scopes being released this month. If interested let me know, I will see what I can do to help you out.

Sounds to me like you want quality but don't want to pay for the name. This could be your answer. If I highjacked I apologize I just thought this might give you another alternative.

I don't own but have looked at the Swift line of scopes at a local shop. They remind me alot of the BSA line. Low end in my opinion. I second the Nikon line. Monarch for the high end and Buckmaster on a budget. I have a Zeiss Conquest as well. Little more but its Zeiss. I honestly would take my Nikon Monarch over the Zeiss.....really!

If on a budget I would check out the Nikon Buckmaster line. Can't beat Nikon optics for the money and their customer service is great.
