My Border Patrol Agent hiring process...

I am going through both hiring processes simultaneously but I want to wear green (BPA). Since both are under Dept of Homeland Security some of the steps in the process carry over to the other. My medical exam and first fitness test are both tomorrow so I'll let you know how it goes. I haven't been to a doctor in 9 years!

Good luck, man. I was on their roster to report before I got offered a kushy gov. job (that I subsequently left). It's good fun.

Also, beware week 11 at FLETC.

Good luck man, I wore green for six years, good experience, not to be a Debbie downer but the agency has gone to crap. Pays good with decent benefits, let me know what stations they offer you and I will steer you in the right directions. I know a lot of agents in south Texas. CBP has better pay and you will get real overtime, which you will not get with BP, just FYI, but CBP will get old fast. I will help you with anything you need, academy related and all. Start running...a lot, do hundreds of pushups at night, stengthen your core. The academy is no joke, but you will do fine, hit me up if you need anything.

Oh and if that young lady in your avatar is going with you, prepare her, border towns can be a reality check for some!
