    Son's first practice

We're just getting into 4-H with the archery club in Dayton. Although he's shot a recurve for about a year, he just started learning on a Mission Craze (thanks again ecfire1967). He definitely has some strength to build with his bow arm to keep his form , but he did pretty good last night and actually shot some respectable groups. He's already hooked and has asked how much stronger he needs to get before he can shoot a deer with it.

On a side note, if he outshoots me on Sunday, he's not getting invited back!

4-H takes kids that are at least 8 and in the 3rd grade. We have a whole mess of them here in Columbus. Plenty of new ones again this year.

Tell him to keep at it and his strength will build quickly.

He's 9. Been shooting a 16lb recurve for about a year. I may get him some lessons with his recurve so he can compete with it too

Both my kids just signed up for 4-h archery as well. Should be practicing soon besides what they already shoot at the house
