This is the property that I've been having problems with trespassers. The camera I had out here "disappeared" a few months ago, and I just now got a new camera. Had plenty in velvet, but that was back in June.

The property is right at 100 acres that was clear cut the beginning of the year. I didn't find anymore blood, and I can see alot of the ground in the open spots. I'm just going to hope it's velvet blood!

Found blood trail that I didn't cause.
        Following to investigate.

Oh I see! Man I've found some blood trails on our place before and never found what caused it.

I never got alarmed because it was just like blood dripping a little here and there...if it was like spraying out of an animal I might be concerned but not too much because Mother Nature is a beast at times!

Just this morning I saw a coyote carrying a fawn at the end of my driveway. It got away before I could get a shot.

I've hunted that area for a while now and we have had the same problems with people stealing cameras and feeders.

Just habit of watching the ground, lol. I ran a blood dog for a couple years, but had to put her down last year.

Also, stepping over a lot of cut down pines and limbs will have you watching every step for a rattlesnake this time of year.

No updates. I looked for a few more hours, but never found anything else. It's all open clear cut, so I would have found something if there was something to find.

I plan on making another run one day after work this week.

Thanks to a few guys on here, I have a supply of "dummy" cameras. I put one in plain sight, and then hid my new camera so it could see it and the corn. Hopefully they don't find the popup I put out....

Venous blood from velvet, arterial will clot into clumps quickly so not to worry.
