They are cheaper, but check out the Orion coolers. Made in the USA by Jackson Kayak. They come standard with a pad on top, tray with light, bottle openers, tie down slots, and more.

Agree...I don't see the need to be so vain. My $40 Coleman Xtreme works...that is to say it keeps things cold! Best bang for your buck IMO.

But don't just take it from me:

The Magellan rotomolded cooler at Academy is the best bang for the buck. Assuming to are committed to it being a rotomolded cooler. Otherwise a Coleman 5 day holds ice just as long.

Put some dry ice in your current cooler. Then fill with drinks and ice, and you will be good to go

Over the last 6 years I think I've tried most of them. As cliche as it may sound none of them kept ice like the Yeti. Same for their koozies, tumblers and soft chest. Either we've been stupid over the years or these guys have a new understanding of thermal dynamics. They WORK and last forever.
Just my experience not saying anything negative about other manufacturers.

I have 3 Bison hard coolers and 2 soft ones. They are the bomb and significantly less expense than the "other" brand, and the Bison quality is equal, if not better. You won't be disappointed!

Im a grizzly man, price is slightly less than yeti and a grizzly 40 is actually 40 quarts unlike the yeti. The 40 runs around 275 i think. None of them are going to hold ice like they are supposed to if you open it up to get drinks out. If you need something to keep ice and meat for a few days undisturbed then they can do what they are designed for otherwise just buy a coleman or igloo

I like my Bisons, but they're not a whole lot cheaper. Maybe try precooling the ice chest before hand. It may help a lkttle

That's a hellava deal right there. Yeti's are Engel knockoffs

I prefer the latches and handles on my Pelicans.......

They are nice but are more than a Yeti
