The Scout is a fine sling shot and will take any bands and can also be rigged with bands over the top or to the sides. If it has any bad points it is that it won't take as wide of bands as I like to use. I cut my bands out of .040 rubber that is 1 1/8" wide tapering to 1" wide at the back and I shoot .50 steel balls. I use the steel balls mainly because I can pick them up with a magnet on a stick and I don't have to bend over to pick up my bullets.

Draco you ever make any of those to sell? That would be an awesome gift to give to a few buddies (and myself)

The maker of your sling shot sells all kinds of rubber for bands. The .040 latex is the most powerful in flat bands. Make them taper slightly smaller to the back and you will gain speed over parallel bands. Mine are 1 1/8" wide tapering to 1" at the rear. Go to the sling shot forum for all you would ever need to go. Be warned, they are snobby over there.http://slingshotforum.com/

I don't sell any but do give a few away to friends. I have sold a few horse shoe sling shots to people. The rancher where I hunt uses his to shoot his cows to herd them. PM me if you want a price.
