    Learn From My Mistakes

    Had a plumber show up yesterday to install a gas pipe for the new generator. After about 40 seconds here my wife and 35yr old son were rolling their eyes and giving me the look. After about 5 words with the man he wandered off and the three of us huddled. We all agreed that he had Donkey's Back Side flashing on his forehead. Just steeped in Donkey back side.
    After 15 minutes he got into a screaming argument with a helper in the street in front of the house and fired him on the spot. The Flaming Donkey's back side made him walk away. {I should of fired him on the spot}
    Now he is really mad because he just ran off 5 man hours he now has to do himself.
    He threw up everything as fast as he could go and I got this in the breezeway. We walk by this 50 times a day.

    The city inspector agreed with me today and they have to move it 24 inches around the corner.

    The last angry crew that made my life miserable was when we had the HVAC installed. One of the guys had a new girlfriend and they were out all night and he was "sick" on installation day. Same problem - the crew had to make up 8 man hours. The list of things they did wrong is huge. Our house got mildew and the company sent 7 guys to wipe down everything in the house. 25ish service calls later we are still not satisfied with the job.

    Never ever let a mad crew on a job. PERIOD - -

    That pipe should be underground.

    I would not put up with that nonsense.

      Sounds like the fellow who installed my parents gas line for their new furnace a few years back just north of Houston. It was simply unbelievable how he screwed up a simple install up the wall and through the soffit. And then couldn't believe dad wasn't satisfied with his work

        I feel for you brother. Since we started building our new house I have fired 2 framing crews and an electrician.
        It is hard to find a good contractor but when you do you hang on to em.!!!

          Looks like you need to stop hiring people. And break out the tools yourself. Seems like you just cant get good work done anymore.

              It appears it is surrounded by concrete. Kinda hard to dig through

                  Hard to find good crafts these days. I try to search out who people have used on the green screen.
