Earlier today a rattlesnake struck and scratched my leg just below the knee. It broke my skin would like to know if anyone has come across someone who was scratched and if they had problems.

You'd know by now if it had injected any venom.
If you're still ok, then it was a dry bite. You need to wash the area with warm soapy water and then apply some triple antibiotic cream.Comment

Doubt you got any venom if it was earlier today and you aren't having issues yet. BUT, I would make sure it is clean clean clean. Can cause a nasty infection from bacteria.Comment

Is there any swelling? Does it feel like its bruising around the scratch? No severe pain like its on fire? If not you're fine.Comment

That's for the info so far I feel ok. Yeah it scared the hell out of me it came out charged me and hit me 4" above my boot. Snake chaps are on my to buy list. Don't know if it had a nest or if I spooked it buy it didn't rattle. Thanks for all the infoComment
