    It's starting to rain!!!

And I'm not talking about in the liquid form.
Acorns or the way I like to say it, Akerns, are starting to fall here in Robertson Co and my trees are LOADED with them!!!
I just hope we have a bumper crop on our place in E. Tx. That will save us some money on corn!!!
Plus, we have some HUGE white oak trees there. Got 3 stands overlooking them!!!

That's right man! They won't come to traditional food sources provided by hunters. Last year, we did not shoot a deer until late November. And that was only because a love sick buck came to check out a doe decoy. So I guess I'm one of those moaners.

Got a lone wolf and sticks, I go to the big bucks. Mature bucks don't get that way by nippling up to a feeder!

The only complaint I have about acorns falling is the cabin I stay in has a metal roof with a big ole oak tree hanging over it. Them acorns always start falling about 2:00am and it makes it hard to get any sleep. I've started thrashing that oak tree to get the acorns out of it but it's a big tree, doesn't seem to help much.
