    Dallas Commute

Does anyone on the GS commute from Sanger, Valley View area to Carrollton, Dallas? Curious to know how long it takes.

Depends what time you're commuting. Traffic is always terrible on 35 and even worse during rush hour. I'd say from Sanger to downtown dallas would take an hour plus around 8 or 9 am.

I commute from Plano to Downtown dallas at 9 am and it takes me 45 mins on average.

I live 8 miles west of Krum and drive to Plano Pkwy/121 everyday and on a good day it takes me an hour and a bad day an hour and a half.
I think for you it would be an hour and half minimum during rush hour.

From denton down 35 to downtown it can take anywhere between an hour and 2 hours for me.

That's what I figured. I live in Little Elm and work in Carrollton and was looking at houses in Valley View but I don't want to fight that commute every afternoon. Mornings aren't a problem as I try to be at work by 6 now to beat traffic.

It's going to suck unless you can go in real early and leave real early.

I used to go Dallas to west Fort Worth and it was 45-50min. My wife now goes SW Fort Worth to near the galleria and it's an 1 hour + usually and she leaves by 6:30

Reading this makes me happy I no longer live in Plano and work in Richardson.

Does anyone know how long the current construction project is going to last? It starts at 635 and goes north all the way to Denton.
If it would improve the traffic when it's done I could probably deal with it for a couple of years.
