My day is getting jacked up by Fedex!

I used to think Fedex was a pretty good service but this morning I am getting totally jacked up by them.

I am sitting here waiting for a part that I need to travel to Carthage, TX and do a job, then travel back, about 4 hours each way.

The part is supposed to be shipped Fedex Express priority overnight. It has not showed and the professionals at Fedex have no clue when it will show.

Also, they have no way of contacting the driver to see whats up with it,(or say they don't), except to send a text of some sort, and maybe he will see the text and call me, or maybe he won't.

    This is very aggravating.

Rant over.......................except to say if I personally have to ship something, UPS is getting my business.

Have you tracked it online? Does it say it's on the truck out for delivery?

You ship and receive enough packages UPS and FED EX will be a disappointment.

They should realize our packages are more important then anybody else

Tell them you need them to call the delivering terminal and talk to the dispatcher to call the driver. They CAN call and they CAN get a hold of the driver, or ask if you can get the delivering terminals phone #. They aren't supposed to give it out but if you keep calling back you will get a different person each time and one will give you the #.

Yes, I have tracked it. It was put on the truck in Beaumont, Tx at 8:20 this morning. I am headed to a drilling rig site outside of Carthage. It not a Fedex deliverable site.
I am still here, not ginning, but am bearing it(no other option). The real problem is I have work to do tomorrow for other customers, and when something get's real late, it causes problems for these. I already spent one 24 hr day about two months ago, which I almost didn't survive, and I don't need a repeat.

But anyway, I am ready for deer season to get here. I have a couple of wallhangers spotted, so I guess I can just think about getting one of them while waiting.

I have been known to drive around town looking for delivery trucks to get what I need. Get on it!

Thanks Bazo, I am trying that method right now. The first time I called it sounded like I got some foreign country, then I just tried again, had a nice sounding lady, she dropped the call, now I just talked to another out of the country sounding rep., and he says they can't talk to the drivers while they drive, so they send messages. I had him let the driver know I can meet him to get the package. I will see if that gets me anywhere.

I am in the hood about 8 mile north of town, so the odds for this technique is bad, to say the least.......but I did get a chuckle out of the recommendation......thanks

I got the part. Fedex just showed up and gave me a song and dance about weather in Dallas, ect. I let him know it was on the truck at 8:20am and then he brought up about late freight, ect....oh well.

I am hitting the road. Everyone have a great day. Things are looking up.
