Sargent. Not real close to Freeport but not far either. Not crowded, and plenty of fish.

The jetties are always a fight for spots and people that don't know what they are doing.

No jetties, just the beach front. Plenty of fish if the water is right though.

Pretty much, but it's a good place to have a few beers, throw out some rods and see what happens. If the water is real nice, or decent, it's easy to catch fish. I live less than 15 miles away, so I fish there a lot. The best part about it that it isn't crowded. If the water is rough or something jetties might be a better option, but you'll be fishing with all of Brazoria county if you fish off the Freeport jetties.

No, I throw lures. Topwaters or Down South Lures. Bull reds should start running in a few weeks also.

Ive got plenty of spots in the bays there that are good and quick to kayak to, but the surf is prime right now. the whole gammit is in it right now and you just don't know what your going to hook into, but that makes it fun.
Start with lures...but if ya just ain't getting anything switch to live or dead bait on the bottom as the fail safe

hows the beach? is it okay for 2wheel ?
thinking about bringing some of my shark rigs if i can get some bait.

i just wanna go catch some reds and specs for a few hours while my sister and my gf and mom are dress shopping lol

The beaches have been good. Rain is keeping it pretty packed, but they change day to day. There are tons of sharks on the beaches right now. Last couple weekends I've been having trouble with them eating trout on my stringer. Bull reds will start running in the next few weeks, pretty much everywhere.

you are fine with 2 wheel drive out there right now. Access 4 has always been a safe bet.

You ever try the floating bags. I like it better than a stringer for that reason and as dumb as it sounds it is somewhat of a flotation device if needed.
