Spur Of The Moment Pop-Up Question

So, I am thinking of getting my first Pop-Up blind, and I am wondering, has anyone had any luck with taking one on a spur of the moment hunt, be it Whitetail, hog, or turkey? I understand it's better for it to be staged in spot for a while so the animals can get used to it, but how about just to have one on hand?

    Thanks,
    Corey

I have thrown them up and hunted the same day. Some deer noticed. Some didn't. I wasnt targeting a specific monster buck. Just exploring new areas. If I was hunting a specific buck I wouldn't do it. I would climb a tree or set up a tripod in a bush.

Plop it down and brush it in and you'll be fine.

Did it twice and killed something both times. First was an axis doe at KJO and the second was my wife's first deer.

          Doesn't affect turkeys at all.

It's looking pretty positive, and like I stated above I get it's better to have it there for a while. Thank you, I appreciate the input!

Try to place it where it does not shock the deer. If it can be seen from a distance, deer are not as spooky, as opposed to coming around a bend and boom there it is.

Just brush it in super good where all you have is one little hole to shoot out of

                  Brush it in and kill.

Brush it in for deer and put it in the shadows if you can. For turkeys you can set it up the morning of in a big field and they will walk right up to it.
