Just got back from the salute to Law Enforcement Officers here in Pflugerville.

There was even one idiot who sped by us telling the cops they are #1. (Throwing the bird at them). Some people.

our department sent us to be part of motorcycle funeral escort for the 3 officers killed in Odessa in '07, we saw people lining the streets and sidewalks almost the entire procession route for 2 of the funerals, some using their own vehicles to block intersections as the funeral went by I have been to too many police officers funerals in San Antonio and other cities but I will remember the community's sincere emotions with parents and their kids holding cardboard signs of love and support, it was as if the whole city of Odessa and Midland showed up to honor these officers, all I can say is THANK YOU for the support for deputy DARREN GOFORTH rip brother

I was Honor Guard for years. My assignment was to attend every fallen officer's funeral in Texas. It altered me in some good ways and in others not so much. I can no longer go to police funerals.
