    Anybody write apps?

Or does anybody know of my apps that will fit my needs?

So I'm a superintendent for home construction company. We got super busy this summer and I couldn't make around to all of my houses in one day. I got to thinking how I could stay more organized and this was my solution.

An app that is calendar based and I can set up a general construction schedule and invite a bunch of subs to the schedule every time I start a new project. The subs would have to have this app too. Then I would have the ability to move the dates around if I have to and it would instantly send a notification to the sub asking if they could still do the job. Then the sub could say yes or no and it would alert me. It would also set reminders for the subs the days before they are suppose to show up.

does anybody already know of an app that could do this or know someone that could write something like this?

You don't necessarily need an app- you need a shared calendar like google calendars.

There are other calendar apps as well but google is the one I'm most familiar with

One of our production builders uses an online scheduling program called Hyphen Solutions. Extremely easy system to use (on our end as a sub anyway). They issue PO's at job start, then release PO's to subs with a scheduled install or start date. Once complete, we check the job off in the system as complete. Once the construction manager checks it off as complete, the builder pays the amount. The lien releases are done electronically for each weekly payment as well.

Obviously there's a cost associated with it on both ends, but it may be worth looking in to for you.

Residential construction management software trusted by Home Builders and Suppliers across North America.

Would be interested in an app solution for this also.

There's a couple out there. Some are web only some have mobile apps. Came across a solid one several years ago but can't remember the name of it. Did exactly what you described though.
