Dove identification

I'm still new to dove hunting and will be hunting the special whitewing season this weekend down south and was wondering how you guys go about identifying dove while in the air? I've seen the pics on the TPWD website identifying the different species of dove but the pics are of dove sitting. Kind of different when they are in the air flying. Any tips?

White wings are pretty easy to spot. You'll see the white stripe on each wing and the tips of the tail feathers are white. Google white wing dove and click on Images. You'll see some in flight.

You will see the white on the front of the wing when they are flying. Took this off of google. Pretty easy to tell.

Every dove flies about the same the same... Best tip for identifying whitewings would be to look a glimpse of white or aim for the bigger birds, they tend to be bigger than the Mourning dove

White wings look like small pigeons, they are that much bigger than mourning dove. Mourning dove look like silver lazerbeam bullets streaking through the air. LOL.

Don't worry. You will know the difference within the first hour or so.

Last time I seen some. They fly a bit differently. And it kinda looks like the wing flashes the white at you.

Eurasians looks like a drunk pigeon flying....they are big slow flyers and have very inconsistent wing beats.

No season or limit on these so kill them all.

The tail of the morning doe is longer and more pointed than a white-wing. The white-wing is shorter and boxier.

They also make a strange caw sound when they are landing. I always hear them before I see them.
