    Need some advice

I have a black synthetic Benelli which I use for all of my bird hunting adventures. Last year it rained on the way home from a dove hunt and got my soft case wet... I forgot about it, left my gun in there for a couple days, and now my barrel has a layer of surface rust on it.

My question is, do any of you have a remedy or way to get that rust off? I tried what i had, which is just remoil and a rag. I was affraid to use steel wool but i feel like that would work.

Any input or suggestions will be appreciated. Thanks in advance

No advice on clean up here for you but how do you let a $1,500 shotgun get rained on..... let alone forget about it?

I'm a fan of the hydro dip myself to solve the problem. I had both my Benellis dipped to lessen the maintenance..

It's screwed. I'll give you $46, and a natural light. It's all I got on me and I think you're gettin a helluva deal

Not sure what types of tools you have, but here is what I would do:

                Remove from gun first.
-I would Steel Wool it with oil to remove all rust and old finish. If you have a sand blaster setup, this is even better. 30psi with aluminum oxide or black beauty should do the trick.
-Clean and degrease with non-water based degreaser
                -Cerakote
