    Mini stroke info? S-i-l

Well, my #2 son-in-law, 29y.o. had a mini stroke and seizure yesterday. What could be the prognoses? I know DLW(long time ago TBHer had one and he is doing great, but my daughter is stressed way out, I would like to help her with info, so they can get rolling in the right direction. He seems fine, just don't want this to happen again.
Thanks and yes, prayers can help them too.

Could be good or bad depending on the cause. Drill the doctor with questions about it. Record it with your phone so you can listen to it with a clear head after the discussion.

        A T. I. A. Is nothing to ignore. ( transient Ischemic attack).

Could be a once in a lifetime event, or could lead to a full stroke.

Make sure he see's a specialist, to find the root cause... Hypertension, medications, etc. many thing's can cause it.

My dad had a few TIA's a few years back and come to find out he stopped taking his blood thinners. Once he started taking them he was fine. My step son have had 2 heart attacks in the last year because he stopped taking BP meds, he's fine now. The point is they need to find out what is causing it and correct before it's to late.

Dad had one- almost 30 years ago. He's doing fine. He changed his diet a bit and started taking all kinds of supplements (too many to list).

                  Lots of things could trigger.

The heart is a scary subject but just remember, its a muscle and an amazing one at that.

                  Stay hydrated
                  Potassium
These help cramps in other muscles and your heart is no different.

I for one, throw PVCs (google it if needed) when I am dehydrated

Watch caffeine, other stimulate intake (nicotine, work out supplements)

Watch your BP. That bottom number is the one to really watch. 80 and below is key, that is your resting number, if it is high, your heart inst resting in between beats enough.

                  Just some FYIs

I had irregular heartbeat started at 18 (29 now) and have had just about every test done on my ticker. Learned alot from docs over those visits

My mom has had multiple TIA's and told no one. One of her problems was blocked blood flow to her brain. So definitely check the carotid arteries up both sides of his neck for possible blockage. Stay aggressive in finding a resolution. We will keep fingers crossed for his recovery.
