You hear this a lot, but depending on what and where a person hunts, it may or may not be true.

Add to that the fact that $350 binocs today kick the crap out of $350 binocs from just 15 years ago, and really for most people there is no good reason to spend more.

I looked through some Optilogic bino's at the Paris ASA this year, WOW I was impressed, they looked as clear as my Swarovski's but at a fraction of the cost. $299

Another vote for the Vortex. I now have two pairs you can not beat them for the price.

            Sightron - SII - BlueSky's!

"For the money, this is one of the best binoculars available. Resolution and contrast are excellent; CA is minimal and brightness is good. Only not so hot characteristic is the small sweet spot (50 to 55%), which is noticeable. The focus knob on mine is fine. Plus, fast OP service. These are so good, I sold my Vortex Viper 8x32s."

"Brightness, sharpness, excellent color reproduction. Focusing on the right eyepiece and Central. Focusing is performed Central wheel, has a "buttery" move without backlash. Eyecups eyepieces answer with fixation in 4 positions. Focusing on the eyepiece is sufficient tight, careless movement or placement in any case not go astray."

"The rave reviews of these binoculars are all right on the money. These are fantastic optics for the price."

Mine are the SII 8x32's with the open hinge, but I've heard great things about the full sized too.

Sightrons are made in the Phillipines, not China, and it makes a difference.

Just a correction here they are not discontinuing them, they are a Cabelas only exclusive model. They were $139 during their great outdoor days sale.

Bushnell legends. Should be $300 or less. Just got some and they are way better than my vortex Diamondbacks.
