Slick Trick makes the Viper Trick, I shot my elk with one last year. Full pass through, busted through a rib and offside shoulder.

What is your bow and arrow set up? I personally suggest using a cut on contact head. I have personally killed two elk with G5 Montecs, but will be shooting a 200 grain STOS 2 blade with my recurve in two weeks.

The broad heads you use for deer will work for elk also....that being said, use what shoots best out of your bow with your set up. Shot placement is the key!!!!!

If your Elk hunt hinges on your broadhead don't shoot a broadhead with hinges.

I have had good success with Shuttle Ts

Lots of good heads out there. Like some have said, I prefer a fixed blade. I shoot 125 grain Muzzy 3 blades. They've never let me down, have always flown great out of my bow at longer distance and they are cheaper than most, so I've never switched to anything else. Just shoot what flies well for you.

Use a broadhead that your comfortable with and shoots good out of your bow!! I've killed elk with fixed and expandable without issues. As long as you put it in the boiler room you'll be fine.

I'll be using 125 grain Grim Reapers. I haven't shot an elk with them yet but I've punched a 100 grain one through both shoulders of a 200lb+ boar at 55 yds so I'm pretty confident it won't be an issue with Elk. They shoot great out of my setup and it's the only mechanical I trust to not fail.
