    North Texas/Panhandle Pheasant Hunt

Does anyone have any hunts planned this year or know of any good places to recommend looking to put a group together

Used to do a first weekend of December Sat/Sunday morning hunt in Hale and Swisher Co, but the birds quit flying the last 3 years. I know quail numbers have rebounded this year, but not sure if the pheasant are huntable on this place.

Call Dane with tule creek outfitters. 806-441-4868. He has both wild and pen raised birds and awesome dogs. He also has a awesome lodge with fire pit and recreation area.

Yep. I talked to Chad (Dane's brother) today. He said he's been seeing more pheasant and quail than he's seen in years. They have 2 lodges now also. I'm hoping to get up there to hunt with them in December.

If you don't mind, what's the cost? I would love tho do something like this.

Let me know if you would like to work in a goose hunt or two. Waterfowl should be amazing around Lubbock this year. I beg we could find a field or two full of birds for a morning hunt if you are headed this way.

I'm looking to plan a trip with the wife. One of my clients showed me this card today and had great things to say about these people and the hunt. I plan to contact them next week

You are doing the rite thing. Not really worth it to book it up to Kansas for preserve hunting when you can do that closer to home. If you and her get hooked on it then the next year you can try for a wild bird hunt in ks or sd. Have fun and shoot strait

I've heard a few people say they had fun there, Heath. I bet it would be a good place to get your wife plenty of shooting. They're pen-raised birds, of course. From what I've heard, their birds fly pretty good. Some pen-raised birds won't hardly get off the ground if you kick 'em.

One more decent rain year and the pheasants will be back to awesome.
