How many of you don't have a home land line and only rely on your cell phone? How many have kids with no land line? Do you have an extra cell phone that stays at the house in one spot for the kids? I'm tired of paying for our house phone that never gets used except when telemarketers call. The only reason holding me back is if someone had to call 911. If you can't speak they can stil find you. On a cell I don't think they can find you.

On cell phones for us. My wife was a little concerned at first. I looked into ooma at that point. They are VOIP. You buy the phone and after that it is supposedly free. My wife got used to the no phone.Comment

We have a DSL line through SBC that was once a phone line also. Got the bright idea to drop the phone line and keep the DSL, saved us $10 a month for 2 years. DSL line charge went up and we now pay $5 more a month than when we had a phone line.
