All these active shooters--doing it for attention for themselves--and we have a thread here (or 2 or 3) on every one of them. Why are we "supporting" them in their quest for publicity and spreading the idea to other susceptible and like-minded folks?

I recognize that the green screen's group is not like the crazies who are doing this, but why don't we do like baseball did with the streakers--don't put a camera on them--denying them their seconds of fame/notoriety?

Because it's intriguing. But i agree with you. Limit the coverage & it will cease.

Or better yet, increase the coverage but focus on the victims, never save mention the shooters name it will cease the gratification they think they will receive

I agree with you. Why do we need to repeat what the news is reporting and discuss these sickos?

But then, everyday someone posts a link to every news item on here. It's all on the news and in the newspapers. Why do some feel the need to post a link to a news item?

True except that they'll still get the fame from the alphabet media. But I agree we probably shouldn't give him our time on here especially with bow season only a month away

blame the Media is sensationalize the news like police officer shootings now and gangs were back in the 80's then it was drive by's ,home invasions,now it's mass shootings they are the biggest problem

Because wouldn't you want to know what is going on in the world and try to figure out his motives and reasoning? If we just swept everything under the rug and never talked about it, that wouldn't be very fun. On another note, you just created a thread talking about a subject that you don't want people talking about lol. Not calling you out or anything. I just think it's funny

Yes, knowledge of events is important. However, news agencies could intentionally leave out the shooter's name and simply refer to them as "suspect" and steal away the "glory" these people think they will receive.

Headlines could read like this: (example this most recent event)

"Suspect in reporter shooting faxed ABC news manifest"
"Suspect lived in squalor"
"Suspect had history of workplace conflict"
etc etc etc...

only use names to speak of the victims, thus keeping the focus on the victims and providing NO attention to the shooters. That is what they are after. they die believing they will be the headline and as of now they are correct.

For a few reasons in my opinion.

1. Liberal meadia does it to place fear into the minds of the people. Basically if you keep up with a 1 sided debate. People start to beleive it. So there is a hidden agenda at some point.

2. Chaos brings ratings. The more shocking the better.

3. These evil people know this. And will always get their face on tv.

Yeah I agree but he's not here to bask in the "glory". It's doesn't matter to me either way. The guilty guy is dead. I wish he wouldn't have taken the cowards way out but it is what it is. I'm still waiting for the rioting, looting, banning the rainbow flag, etc. When is that supposed to start?

Even if we stopped, it wouldn't lessen the likelihood of another situation. The social media, YouTube, videos etc. is just another outlet that they use. They don't murder to get famous. They murder because they're evil and sick.

We have created a society that lives its life through social media and entertainment. That same society is becoming numb to the realities of life and morality. With no sense of right or wrong and the annihilation of the family model by this horrible progressive movement, how can we expect any thing different?

Arm yourself and protect your family.
