Friday thru Sunday Carrying on the get a kid in the woods

Well last time a friend of mine whose grandson never hunted anything, only ever shot a .22 and came from a divorced home where dad and stepdad don't get him out in the outdoors , came to my camp and in 2 days had 2 hogs on the ground.

This weekend I continue that aspect of get a youngin in the woods and introduce them to something better than streets, tv, computers, and video games.

This young man who is 19 is friends with some folks I know, comes from a troubled home where there were problems with both mom and dad. The young man is not a trouble maker, not been in trouble but from what I understand kinda of lost, trying to find a place that he fits. He is from more country than city so he has the country life in him.

Well they are bringing him up tomorrow along with thier boys and I am getting them all out on some hogs. Setting him up with my .308 that will drill a dime, and on one of my many hotspots to give him the best oppertunity.

I am taking the shot guns so we can shoot some clays , some other toys to just shoot target with and have a good time.
The other boys have never killed any big game so they are hoping and I will see what I can do but this one particular young man is the focus.

Will try to keep the post live tomorrow evening. They should arrive tomorrow around 2 and i will have them on stands by 5 .

Just unloaded groceries for everyone, on the drive in the gate i see a spike and a 6 point on the power line just inside the gate, both young.
Then top it off as I drive up to cabin out of a run off revene runs 6 hogs. Now they are getting daring because thats right behind the target range about 85 yds from front door of the cabin.
With the super moon weekend its starting out looking like it might be productive. They are supposed to arrive around 2.

I went and primed one good spot on the pipeline. This produces pigs everytime out. Feeder 20 yds in, corned from feeder to pipeline, utv blind set up 173yds away.
Will have my friends boys in 2 stands near food plots, they both have hogs at them every feed. Will set the one youngin up on the pipeline with me.
