    Trophy Ridge React Trio Sight

Ok so I finally got off the rig and was able to play around with the TR React Trio today. At first glance, it is very bulky and heavy looking, although very solid and not cheaply machined. (I guess that it's a give and take considering it weighs almost a pound...)

I've spent the last 2 hours trying to figure out how to get the 40 yard pin sighted in... I'm shooting about 2-3' (yes feet) low @ 40 and I'm "topped" out on my sight adjustment so I can't raise it up any more to bring the impact point up...

The only way I have been able to see it working is by tilting the gold yardage indicator up but now my sight won't stop at 10/20 yards like it should...

Im half tempted to drive 2.5 hours to Cabelas tomorrow to take this back or get them to explain to me why I need a "drop adaptor" for my bow to lower the actual sight to where I can get it sighted in...

Not a very happy TR customer right now.

Wouldn't you be moving the sight down?

you need to sight in the 40 yard first. then zero the 50,60 with the adjustment knob. then go back and sight in your 20 and 30.

if you can't get the sight housing to drop low enough to sight in the 40, then you need to raise your peep sight.

Yes, that's moving the site down... That's not the answer. I'm shooting low but can't get the sight low enough without a extra bracket... The sight is going back to Cabelas. No worries. I'm not going to adjust my pep because that's where it's natural for me. I didn't have any other problems with my IQ site so...

Have you checked rest clearance and tuning?

It's like the whole sight needs to come down another 1/4" but can't without a drop down bracket.

Bad part is, it seems no one has this sight and aren't very many YouTube videos

Well that just boggles me then. I had no problems with my react one shooting 290.

I'm shooting 452gr @ 284. But from what I understand from TR, that just reduces how far I can shoot. They say the React technology should still work out to 100 yards.

I just spoke to a tech at Trophy Ridge and he said they have a small replacement bracket that some bows need that he can send me and I will have it in 10-14 business days...Yea no thank you. You would think that after you spend $250+ on a sight, they would include all possible pieces that may be needed. Especially a little $2-5 bracket just in case.

Beyond ****** but maybe this will help someone else.

when you shoot a sliding sight, and want to shoot farther distances you need to align your peep where its natural at about 30-35 yards. when you use a sliding sight your anchor changes a little as the housing slides.

if you like your peep exactly where it is, you need to stick with a fixed housing sight.

Good to know, thanks! I'm going to go to Bow Zone right quick and see if we can adjust the pep to get this thing to work. I don't think it's gonna happen, but I hope I'm wrong.
