    The-Timer question

Set up a feeder this weekend that I recently bought from another TBHer.It is an All Seasons and has The-Timer,which is the only timer I have had really good luck with.I noticed during programming it that the top battery indicator was blinking(the one with a red arrow pointing at it).It showed 100% full and the main battery was brand new and also showed 100%(lower battery indicator).Hit test and it works perfectly. However,I have never seen one blinking in the last 15 or so years I have used this brand timer and it is bugging me now.Has anyone else seen this?Don't want to go back in 2 months and it hasn't been working right the whole time.Any ideas. Can't find a phone number on their website either.

Did you change out the AA in the unit itself? That is the indicator for the unit battery.

The bottom battery is the feeder battery. I am pretty sure that the main feeder battery will also run the unit when it is connected.....but if you disconnect you lose all your times and clock. I could be wrong on that but I think I remember a rep saying that here on TBH.

I always change mine out annually so I haven't had that blinking issue.

I have had one flash like that. I have 12 of those Timers and only seen it on one. Changed out the AA battery and it stopped flashing. Has never done it again.

This is what I am hoping is correct.I put a brand new battery and solar panel on it so I hope the new feeder battery will run the timer even if the timer battery is weak.

I have an add on to this. If you rechargeable 6 volt is dead and you only changed out the AA batteries in the timer. Will the solar panel change up the dead 6 volt? Mine only did the test feed once and was dead. The next morning I did the test feed twice and it worked both times. Do yall think the feeder is charged and feeding? it is a 4 hour drive there and I only had Saturday and Sunday to be there.

Smart is exactly right. I used to work for the guy that makes The Timer and we had quite a few customers that would remove the AA's when they hooked up the big battery so that they didn't have to worry about them leaking and corroding the insides when they get old.

No sir. It will keep a new battery that has a good charge on it, charged for around 3+ years, but it won't charge a dead battery.
