At least the fishin was good

Took the family out Saturday for a before school starts fishin/tube pulling trip. Hammered the white bass and hybrids for 3 or 4 hours and went to load the boat. Busier than I've ever seen with a 20 mph crosswind. Trailer might have been too deep..ouch

Gotta pay to play I guess. Already got a Teflon keel guard on order

Ouch. I would put some Marine Tex on it first before you put your keel guard on. That way it is sealed

Done that before...that's why i have gotten in the habit of leaving the trailer a bit shallow until I am half loaded, seems like every ramp i use always has a crosswind.

At least it's white! That's relatively easy to fix. On my sparkle flake boat I just about cried every time I found a new gouge.

Glad y'all did some good, we couldn't find the fish on Livingston. Even went to GR-5's old hole and they wouldn't bite.

I bet GR-5 would have loaded the boat. That man could catch fish when they didn't even want to bite. RIP

Kinda what I was thinking Keith, I sure wish he was around to show me one more time, I wasn't a very good learner.

We hit Somerville and fished on the north side of the island. Chrome and blue traps early then white fat free shad when the sun got up. With only two ramps open it was a mad house to get back on the trailer.

Stopped by NW fiberglass on the way in. Only 2 days to fix week after labor day 200 bucks or a tad more for a hambys keel guard. Boats only 2 years old and we're in love with it so it looks like a hambys keel guard is in order. Its actually glassed in so a repair isn't needed
