I haven't had a weekend off in months. Hopefully heading up this weekend to get set up. It's pretty much for nothing though. I have a turnaround starting late September so I'll miss October and most of November. Plus we have our first baby did in February, so I have to get the house baby ready. Super busy year for me this year.

2500 pounds of corn went into our half of the lease this weekend and carpets of golden chow on the ground.

with the better then normal natural forage I'm sure I'll have cornstalks by summer but better safe then sorry.

We usually start them on opening weekend of dove season. Our camera shows that the deer usually hits them hard for 7-10 days than they slow down a lot. Every year I keep saying I need to turn it on the weekend before bow season.

No, I actually need to get one up. We turned my dad's feeder on about a week ago. Not sure if my brother has his going or not.

On our new lease we have one feeder that has been running two weeks, we got another one running yesterday and are still trying to decide on a good spot for a third. There is still a heck of a lot of nice green browse around for late August, so I'm not sure how hard they would be hitting corn anyway.
