Anyone know any of the details in regards to the helicopter crash in Grimes County yesterday. NewsNews said it was a private helicopter with hog hunters on board.

Posted yesterday. Believe everyone was ok. Just injured, no fatalities.

Guys--flew them in the Army for 20+ years and I have to tell you, at those altitudes and airspeeds, you are always in the "dead man's zone" if anything goes wrong. The two most important commodities besides a competent pilot are airspeed and altitude when you are in a tricky situation. No chopper hog hunts for this old pilot.

Lots of pilots with very low hour counts and little hunting experience setting up shop for hog hunts. Research your pilot if you choose a hunt and go with experience.
