    Big "A" Feeder from Academy

Has anyone else had problems with the timer that comes with this feeder? I purchased one about 3-4 weeks ago and the clock will not keep the correct time.

My freind on a one of our new lease bought this feeder and it is terrible!!! It is a pain to put together and they forgot all the legs in the box. This lease is 4 hours from any Academy so we had to make shift some legs for it... The big "A" feeder is a big pile of junk!!

You could always just buy a new timer for it and be done with it. Sorry about this purchase... The timer shoudl be pretty easy to replace...I think you can get the remington timer for around $40.00 and it will just splice in where your existing timer is.

May as well replace the timer. It is crap. I am running 3 of these feeders now and the last two I bought I also bought a timer for them.

I really like mine. I bought it when it was $219.00 and bought a moultrie $32.00 timer to go with it. If you don't like putting things together or can't follow instructions then this feeder probably isn't for you. It took me a good two hours to put it together.

Sounds like I need to just buy another timer an put it on. I like the feeder size and it seems durable but I agree that you better be able to follow instructions. Took me, my dad and uncle about a 12 pack and 2 hours to put together. Thanks for the info!

oh, don't get me wrong, I do not mind putting stuff together, but having spend two hours on putting his together then another hour one getting it set up then another hour on trying to figure out how we are going to make legs...yea not the feeder I would buy.

I will give them this: It looks sweet when put together and setting up, and it is big.

I'll stick with my Monarch feeders...Great customer service, and you do not have to put anything together. Just set timer, add tee post and fill with corn
