    plumer and electrition needed

    I am going to add a whole house 22kw generator, the area "rep" folks are wanting $8800 coins...this would be with a 250 gal. propane tank. I am wanting a 500, and the rep says add another $800. I can have the gen delivered, and a 500 gal tank delivered. for 2k less, and figure the elect and pluming should fall around 1k...

    Anyone in the Huntsville, BCS area do any of this?

          We had one installed at my firehouse, received a FEMA grant for it. Already had propane tank.

          The installer wasn't to bright. When it would run the weekly start up test, it would kick us off the grid, and we had to reset the switch box every week after the test was over.

          Finally found a company in Ft. Worth who dealt with Generac, they came out and adjusted some switches on the unit... Never had a problem afterwards.

          Be careful who installs the unit. If not installed right, the unit will feed back to the grid, which is bad news for the lineman should the need to work on the transformer.

            I will keep watch and ask questions....I can do it, just would rather have the 5 year warranty, and I can't pull the meter...wink,wink

                    you can give this guy a call. He's in the Humble area, but may come out there. He is an authorized Generac Dealer and a Master Electrician. Tell him Bill told you to call him. Doesn't hurt to get another qoute.

                      The new house has a propane tank so I want to add a generator. I would've though they would have been more expensive.
