Ok, if I go with a tow bar and tow behind my truck. Do I need to disconnect both drive shafts or just the rear on an Automatic transmission with 4 wheel drive.

Is your dodge equipped with a gooseneck hookup? I know someone with a 24 foot gooseneck, tandem axle , with dovetail.

PM me. I have one that you can borrow one weekend. I'm about an hour and a half from you, but welcome to it.

No it is not the same as a manual transfer case.

You could disconnect both drive shafts and tow it on the ground.

Either borrow or buy a 22' + trailer. Bumper pull or gooseneck.

The transmission guys say to never pull an auto transmission in neutral. I don't know why, but it is bad for them. Transfer case in neutral is ok. Otherwise pull the driveshaft.

You Get a new lease ride?

My B&W hitch has the ball in the bed if that's what you are lacking.

Any which way you do it that Cummins will yank that P.O.S.-Stroke down the road forwards backwards and sideways..

Thanks David but I don't think your B&W will fit my puck system in the dodge. Yes I got another lease ride. I have acquired another truck from my son. So now I have two trucks in my drive way because he can't stay freaking sober and drinking and driving. So I'm taking the ford to the lease.

I had the same situation I ended up buying a 12000 lb trailer tilt, then selling the trailer after I was done. I think I might of loss maybe 100 bucks in the difference but it was worth it. if you built a tow bar you better built a heavy duty one and bolt directly to the frame

When are you headed out? I've got a 20' maxey you can use. Pulled a few 250's with it

I'm really not sure. With my work schedule I never know when I'm off. But thanks for the offer.

Well if we could ever line up days off where we weren't both preoccupied I could drive it or the dodge out there with you.

I have few days in mid September set aside for a lease trip if I get all my other to-dos done before then.
