I have several pieces of petrified palm from my place in Erath County. Palm trees in Erath County...who would have thunk it?

Meant to take a pic of that thing today

Looks like a chunk of red oak, deep bark ridges and smooth cut marks on each end. White and would think it was concrete at first glance

Few pieces we found a couple months ago. Showed my buddy's son my honey hole and look what he finds. Was all one piece but broke apart. The biggest is over 150 pounds easy. I have lots of good size pieces at my house and find beer can size pieces all the time. Looks good around the outside of my house. Put some over my dogs grave when I buried him a while back.

              Almost looks like coral.

Looks like it to me man. Part looks wood and the other part looks like petrified moss. Cool piece.

Wife found it at a garage sale and bought it and another big rock for $2 because she thought the one was petrified wood and worth something

Guy claimed he had to tunnel under his slab to fix something (plumbing?) and about 8' from the edge of the slab he ran into the rock and right behind it was this chunk of corral/petrified wood/ whatever it is

I sold 2 big chunks that I posted on here a long time ago. Sold them on CL for $200 but it took a while to find the right buyer who wants them bad enough. They easily weighed 100-150 lbs each.
