    Need dryer help

For whatever reason our dryer just want start... Press start button and nothing it's an electric dryer is there a reset or relay that may have tripped? I'm completely ignorant to appliances

Need to throw a multi-meter on the plug where is connects to the dryer to see what voltage you have coming in / generally no, there is not a reset.

If you have power to the dryer, I would start with the door sensor. Open the door and see if the light comes on. Push the sensor and see if it goes off.

Hit the start button and then manually whirl the cylinder and see if it runs. If it runs that eliminates the door sensor. Be sure and close the door quickly after spinning it.

If not obvious, start at outlet & verify voltage, then plug connection to dryer. There is a thermal switch for safety if it gets too hot. You have any issues with it running & drying? When was last time used?

Did light go out when depressing door switch? May have more than one thermal fuse. Many times you can pull dryer model schematic online.

Just a thought....The fuse blew for a reason.
Next time you use it....Pay attention.....Just to make sure it operates as normal.

Your exactly right I did just that and found this is why! Never assume the other person is taking the lint out luckily the fuse blew, and not something worse!!

Overheated- it takes a lot to blow those so I think you were lucky...

I am dealing with the same thing tonight. Mine was the thermal fuse too.
Guess we got the dryer to close to the wall and kinked the exaust hose.
