    Game Cameras

I know there are tons of threads and reviews for game cameras, but I have a couple of questions.

    I own a Moultrie D880.
I am looking to purchase a second camera for not alot of money.

My main question is why are there so many Moultrie models, what are the differences?

O ther brands also have numerous models. I can't understand why so many.

Different trigger speeds, different ranges, flash, no flash, IR, non-IR, some have a modem so you can view remotely. IMHO most cameras aren't worth the plastic casing they're put in. There are some that are well worth the price. I was in the market last season and did a substantial amount of reading on the subject. In years prior, I was hard pressed to find any reviews online about game cams. By last year when I was in the market again, there were quite a few reviews they pretty much all said the same thing. When it comes to one piece, self contained cameras, Reconyx are the best on the market. They are also, by far, the most expensive on the market. They range from about $449-$649 per unit depending on features. After that, pretty much every review said that the Browning Strike Force cams were the next best thing out there and wouldn't break the bank at the same time. They are $139 at most places. After all of my reading, I settled on the Browning Strike Force and bought 4 of them. I really like them. They have performed up to my expectations both in battery life and picture quality. They can also take video clips if you want that capability.
