    Political tolerance level

I have a question for y all on the green screen.

    *********disclaimer**********
This is not a debate of politics, Candidates, or government

My question is how much political postings or debating can you handle before getting frustrated with others opinions and have to check out of conversation.

I hardly ever post my opinion on things other than ballistics info or other things I truly have knowledge of. But I am seeing more and more people having extreme opinions on things that are based on media reports and the Internet with little to no personal experience.

I feel that in politics we are all in a fantasy world with the ones in charge only telling us what we want to hear not the truth.

It is something that now with the elections coming up is everywhere. I just can't make myself get into the debate of who is better, because I feel that we are in need of more than a new person at the top.

OK rant over let's hear what the rest of us have to say

Politics makes the World go around and money makes politics go around. You cant escape it. HOA, deer lease boss, hunting club, shooting spikes, xbows, mechanical brodheads, fishing teams, golf with the boss, etc. A certain measure of politics is expected if you plan to suceed in this old World.

Check out? Aren't you supposed to just bombard the opposing opinions with insults until the thread gets whacked? Then you can go to sleep knowing that you didn't lose

Sometimes it helps to go down into the trenches. You will come out with the realization that the vast majority of people are rather ignorant and rely on someone else to tell them how to think...

The younger generation doesn't have the perspective of the more seasoned citizens. If we don't express our views they will never see/understand the slow creep of big/intrusive/overreaching government.

Very few people will publicly say "you know what... that makes sense, I was wrong, you are right." Instead, they will keep arguing every little thing and try and trap you into saying something that is false so that they win in their eyes. Even if you false statement is completely unrelated to the original argument.

So I try to stay away from too many debates.

ya I have no tolerance. I am like you. I try not to put in my opinion on things im not fully knowledgeable on usually. As far as politics go I do my own digging into the candidates to make my own opinion and pretty much ignore everything on the media regardless of which side of the isle its on bc its all just garbage. A lot of ppl don't do this when they really should. But I also feel that this is a mindset of ppl that are educated or have some sort of ability to reasonably come to an educated conclusion on a subject. Also why I feel that to vote you should have to pass some kind of qualifier test to show your not an idiot and can actually make educated decisions. We see more and more ppl voting that have no reason to vote. They do it bc uncle tom or momma falisha vote this way or that way not actually bc they have done research and truly support the person they are backing. Its scary to think about the kind of ppl that actually get a vote in what happens to this county.

I wanted to smack somebody yesterday afternoon about this subject.
He said i shouldnt be allowed to vote because im only 26. He seems to think anyone under 30 is killing the country. I had a good laugh.
