I feel your pain, about 3 months ago I cleaned a mess of catfish and threw them into a rushing stream on my property and watched the current carry them down. In the afternoon I was working and got in the stream barefoot to wash off some mud and stepped on the top fin of a stiff catfish that sunk all the way in until my foot was flat on the fish. I fell over in the water trying to pull it out. I couldnt get it off for a few minutes, gritted my teeth and took all my might to bear the pain when I finally pulled the fish off my foot. I could barely walk for weeks, the swelling didnt go away for almost 2 months.

drilled down into my knee with a 5/16" drill bit about 3" deep. no fun at all. I believe in your case I wouldhv pulled drill bit out, removed boot, and bandaged it up before I went to the doctor.

Friend of the family stepped on a dead hard head while running on the beach one year. Top spine went through his shoe then broke off in his foot. Had surgery to remove it, then gang green set in and he lost his foot.

went to er, they took X-rays to make sure bit wasn't in the bone, then dr came in and pulled it out with a pair of needle nose pliers, then cleaned and dressed the wound. but he didn't just yank it out, he had to wiggle and S L O W L Y pull it out thru the boot. thought i was gonna punch him in da face!

pretty sore this morning. soaking in warm water and epsom salt now. gotta get right so i can go to Bonfire Wings in a little while to see thorthunder, cajun blake and the rest of the gang!
