I started riding heavy duty in 1970and an older man told me "ride like you're in a free fire zone and they"re all trying to kill you".

They still are and I still do.

Sorry to see that and prayers for the families involved.

Now I have to say this.

Why is it that everyone says watch for motorcycles when most of them SOB's around here think they own the road and drive tankers? They weave in and out of traffic, cut people off, pass cars on the dotted lines, pass on shoulders, tailgate etc. I just don't get it. Im sure they're plenty of good bikers out there but so dang many dumb ones also. I just wish TXDOT would post up signs saying "bikers don't ride stupid"

Extend that to Dallas and you'd be spot on. I hate driving 35 in a car.

I've rolled up on literally 6 or 7 of these scenes in the past year and a half

Sad deal, my prayers up for the entire family.

A risk to those who ride, know........riding in Urban traffic, yields.

I wouldn't do it on a daily basis in Urban areas. It's bad enough rolling with 4 wheels.

                            Prayers up to the family!

Had literally an identical scene going into work last month. Bike skidded about 300 yards, and traffic was backed up literally 15 miles. You could see where the rider hit the pavement in several spots due to the fluids left on the ground. That work day sucked!

Have to agree with Poco, and I'm a rider of 45 years; there's a lot out there that don't comprehend their own mortality.

I just love the ones in shorts and flip flops that think they can't fall off.

I'm a blink from an accident every time I ride. People say "isn't that hot" and I say "it makes the ambulance ride more comfortable".
