My wife's 2012 Toyota Avalon wouldn't start after sitting for a few days. I had the battery checked and replaced it. Installed it and the car started right up. Lights and everything else worked. We went to San Antonio for the weekend and then this morning it was dead as a door nail again. She called Toyota to come get it, and when the wrecker showed up he was able to jump it no problem. With the tow truck following her she made it 1 block before having problems. Windows wouldn't roll down, lights wouldn't turn off, radio wouldn't turn on. She had the tow truck hook it up and take it.
I'm reading where a bad diode on an alternator can drain a battery but I've never had this problem before. Aside from having each fuse checked and a battery load/drain test done, can yall think of anything else it could be? Seems weird for it to go bad while sitting for a few days.
