Spin tech spinner plate problem

Anyone have one of these plates
I have a new batt and new 12v motor ...not sure y it won't stay down when feeding
Already tried wd40 and it seems to make it worse

It didn't used to do that when it was new but it makes sense thx for the input I'll see if it works with feed in there

The up/down junction gets all stopped up with corn dust, and the WD-40 makes it sticky. Disassemble it, clean all the mating surfaces and polish with 4/0 steel wool. Lube with a dry lube such as powdered graphite, reassemble, and reinstall. Done.
