Paypal Question

I sold some boots to a member and he sent payment via paypal. However, the payment does not show up in my account. He sent it on the 3rd I think and said it says pending on his end. I researched that a bit and paypal says that sometimes they hold funds for up to 21 days to make sure the buyer is happy and stuff like that. I have never encountered this before using paypal. Should it not at least show that I have pending funds on my account? I was concerned that maybe he used the wrong address and have asked him to double check. You can retract payment if it still shows pending, I read.

First time it's ever done that for me. I recently sent 4 different payments and this was the only time it never went through and said pending. Was odd for sure!

Payment is there now. I think it may have been caused by the card linked to my account being expired. No idea why that would matter. But I updated the card info and the money showed up.

That could have been the problem. I do 100-200 transactions a year, paying and taking payments thru PayPal. PayPal gets picky at times.
