Some peoples hunting places are several miles away. The ability to monitor game movement without being out money for fuel easily offsets a small monthly fee. Not to mention being able to target a specific deer who has started showing up for several days in a row. Had a hunter been checking regular cams even once a week....sometimes it is too late! They have their advantages...but clearly that's my opinion.

Well the areas I would like one has good cell coverage with At&T. I checked it with my phone so reception shouldn't be a problem. They just seem complicated to set up and keep running properly, especially for a non techee guy like me!

Heck yes. I bought a 2014 model for $239 shipped. I pay $15 a month for texts. I just found out covert will let you upgrade to a 2015 for $25 so mine is in the mail. The new ones are $293 and I also bought another one so will have 2. The monthly rate is around $8 for texts so upgrading I will make tnat $25 back in a few months by cutting my plan cost in half. I love mine and it saves me from pressuring my deer. I also use it to pattern hogs and have shot several at night thanks to my covert

I like mine. Had issue but had it replaced. Bad batch in serial numbers. Working since then and no issue with cell, either. Better than scrolling 2-3k pics off of my ipad.

We have a covert and hco spartan. The spartan takes better pics. the covert pics have a pink tint to them so having to send it back then will be selling it for another hco.

I have 5 of them. They are addicting. Two of them are attached to a 12 volt battery with a solar panel and they have been running continuous for 16 months now. They are great cameras and covert will take care of you should there be any problems.
